1) Traditional Headboard and Basic Frame
This style of bed has two parts, a decorative headboard, and a basic metal bed frame. There are no side rails or foot.
This is an excellent option if you aren’t ready to purchase your entire bed at one time. You can buy the metal frame at one time and the headboard at another.
You also have the freedom to change your bed style by changing out your headboard.
There are three basic options when it comes to how you will install your headboard. You could mount it on the wall, make it freestanding, or mount it to the bed frame.
2) Four Poster
If you want a statement bed, then four poster is the way to go. These beds feature a vertical post at each of the four corners of the bed.
You’ll find that these beds have a large headboard but no footboard. The posts can be a wide range of heights. This gives you a lot of freedom to find the bed that fits in your home comfortably.
3) Canopy
We began our post talking about the origin of the canopy bed. If you’re looking to make a statement in your home, choose the bed that nobles once used.
The posts rise high up and connect with cross beams. You can opt for a traditional look and hang curtains. Or give your bed a modern look and leave the canopy frame bare.
These beds have a large scale, so they look best in homes with high ceilings. Make sure you have at least 6 inches of space between the top of the bed and the ceiling.
4) Platform Bed
If you’re looking for a minimalist mid-century design, then a platform bed frame is perfect. These beds focus on clean lines.
One characteristic feature is that they’re lower than a traditional bed frame. You’ll find that some have a solid base while others have slim legs.
You don’t need a box spring with a platform bed. There are slats for support instead.

5) Folding bed
Folding bed doesn’t need much space for storing. This type of bed is used mainly in guest bed rooms and the place where the bed is not used regularly.
6) Sleigh Bed
The feature of sleigh bed has curved or scrolled foot in headboard and foot area (resembling sleigh). This model is the result of 19th century French and American emperor period. Sleigh bed is comparatively had heavy wood on those periods. Now-a-days, they are made in variety of materials link steel and aluminum.
7) Enignum Bed
To embrace and protect the sleeper, this bed is made. The resemblance creates a personal environment far beyond the functionality. It is suited for large bedrooms.
8) Wave Bed
It’s the design, which impresses in this particular bed. The appearance in the side resembles wave. The convenience is that, the area beneath is still usable.
9) Adjustable bed
In many homes, beds are not only used for sleeping. Many like to read books, watch TV. Just imagine a bed that adjusts into various levels of sitting positions via motor! Yes. This is the one you imagine. Also, this bed can be adjusted on bed sides!!
10) Day bed
Just like adjustable bed, this daybed can be used for sleeping, seating and reclining. But, this cannot be adjusted to our need. Instead, it is made in a unique way that can be used for all purpose. They are often used in common rooms. Frames can be made in variety of materials like wood, metal or combining both.
11) Bunk bed
Usually, bunk bed is not suitable for master bed rooms. It is specially made for kid’s bedroom. Kids love this as they always wish to have an extra bed for them personally.
There are many models of buck beds like I-shaped, with stair, with desk, loft style, doubles and small models.

Now is the time to compare these different types of beds. Think about the size and scale of the bed and how it will look in your home. You should also think about the style of decor.
A more modern home or one with less space will benefit from a platform bed. Traditional homes with high ceilings can support a four-poster or canopy bed.
