Written By Glenn Prescot

A kitchen is indeed a special place within our homes. Aside from being the area for food preparation, this is one of the areas at home where families and visitors gather.

Just as the food requires a careful process that would need extreme attention to detail, the area itself also would need careful attention to maintain its beautiful appearance.

Since you will be utilizing the area daily, it is only appropriate to exert efforts in beautifying it. What more can encourage you to cook other than a presentable kitchen?

It is also advisable to express who you are as a person through the decors you display. Discard the old perspective of the kitchen being plain for practical purposes. It can still have an attractive display while functioning as a practical space.

Now, you’ll be reading through some suggestions listed below on how to transform your kitchen walls. If you notice that your kitchen looks very dull and empty, this is the time to revamp it.

Your living room is not the only place that gets noticed by your visitors, so take this as a sign to decorate it!

Table of Contents

  • Hanging decors
  • Metal Letterings
  • Wall Stickers
  • Metal Sculptures
  • Wrapping up

Hanging decors

Is your style leaning more towards minimalism? How about rustic? Probably contemporary? Whatever that is, you have to stick with the style that defines your personality the best.

It would be easier to be creative with ways to showcase your interests and attitudes through the decorations. Different types of wall hangings can complement the chosen style for your kitchen wall.

You can opt to have metal, wooden, or glass as materials for the hanging ornaments as long as it doesn’t contrast the design of the area.

If your style is more industrial or modern, then hanging metal decors suit best. If your kitchen style has a minimalistic appeal, you could go for wooden hanging ornaments.

Just make sure that the decorations you make or purchase match the overall look of your kitchen. Of course, some ornaments stand out in an area but these should not overpower the room’s appearance.

Metal Letterings

Another suggestion is to have individual metal letterings. If you want to display your initials or your family’s surname, you can opt for this specific kind of decoration.

The letterings could be of different finishes or textures. Rustic or glossy are some finishes that provide embellishments to the materials.

Do you have a favorite word? Or a favorite quote? You can have it customized into metal letterings and attached to the wall. An advantage to this decoration is that this can cater to all styles or designs out there.

Wall Stickers

Do you have a favorite drawing you want to be displayed on your wall? Perhaps, a logo or a memory verse?

Since metal letterings would be pricey if you’ll have a phrase customized, you can have wall stickers or prints as an alternative.

Silhouette prints look best on a big wall. So, if you have a blank wall in your kitchen, this is the perfect decoration to apply.

It may look similar to the metal letterings, however, it is much lighter and affordable as well as customizable. Look for companies you can rely on for these kinds of decors and check their price range.

Metal Sculptures

If you want to shy away from the common decorations such as individual letterings or hanging ornaments, you can opt to have a custom-made metal figure attached to your kitchen walls. The design is all up to you. You can have a wall-mounted big fork or spoon, or a favorite animal.

You can add shelves to display mini versions of the metal sculptures. As much as you want to beautify the pace, the tip is not to overdo them. Just keep everything organized and clean.

You probably have a painting that you want to be displayed with a frame to preserve its quality. You can have a custom-made metal frame to protect the painting or picture from dust, weather, and other elements that may harm its quality. If you’re talking about long-lasting decorations, take this moment as a sign to try having custom metal art and signage.

Wrapping up

Who said the kitchen should just remain as it is – dull, plain, and empty? It’s time to change that old perception of the kitchen only experiencing being dirty and clean daily.

It needs to look appealing even when the cooking and other food preparation activities look a bit messy. The beauty of kitchen wall art is that it is something that lifts your mood before doing anything within the area.

Remember that the kitchen doesn’t have to be that way when there’s something you can do to upgrade its appearance.

We do hope you consider some, if not most of the suggestions that were laid out in this article. Your kitchen will never look the same way again when you decide to transform its usual look.
