Cuisinart and All-Clad are two well known and high-quality manufacturers of cooking appliances and utensils. Especially if you are looking to buy a complete cookware set, these two brands have some great options and models.
When purchasing a cookware set, you want to know that you have something to make your oatmeal and quick sauces in with the saucepan. The sauté pan could have you searing meat before throwing it in the oven or even reducing the pan sauce.
The stockpot is perfect if you want to slow cook your meat pie filling or ossobuco and to put it in the oven for a finish. For those who want a healthy meal, a steamer or stockpot is ideal if you’re going to retain all the food’s goodness. Lastly, you need skillets you can grill your meats on it or make pancakes too.
What brand can give you all this in one cooking set? In this Cuisinart Multiclad Pro vs. All-Clad comparison, we’ll look at their features and provide the preferred brand for the home user or professional chef.
Specifically, we will compare two popular and similar cookware sets, namely the MCP-12N Multiclad Pro (12-Piece Cookware Set) and the All-Clad D3 Tri-Ply Bonded Cookware Set (10-Piece Set).
A quick comparison table between the two models below will help you get a bird-eye view of the most important features:
Cuisinart Multiclad PRO Brief Review
The Cuisinart Multiclad PRO (MCP-12N) set comes in 12-pieces. In it you will get:
- One 1.5 quart and one 3-quart covered saucepans.
- 8 and 10-inch open skillets
- 5-quart covered sauté pans
- 8-quart covered stockpot

Features
Cuisinart has been around for almost 30 years in the cooking industry and is a well-known and respected brand all over the world.
The Multiclad Pro collection is inspired by great French Kitchens to give it an elegant and stylish design. The materials used in the construction have the various cooking techniques in mind to cater for either the normal user at home or the professional chef working at a restaurant.
The cookware set is contemporary in its look. The exterior is hardcore, made of 18/10 stainless steel pots and pans with a brushed finish for that added touch of elegance. When you look inside, every piece in the set is mirror-polished so that your food, sauces, and soups don’t stick at the bottom.
When purchasing the Cuisinart multiclad pans, according to the company, their polished surfaces do not discolor when they interact with food or either altered by flavors.
When cooking, it is expected that the cooking sets will retain maximum heat with even distribution and thus having no hotspots on the pan itself. That is due to the triple-ply construction made of a pure aluminum core, which is known for its heat conductivity and even-distribution of heat. The exterior is brushed stainless.
The cool-grip handles mean you don’t have to fear getting your hands burned when taking the pots out of the fire. Equally, the handle is secured with stainless steel rivets so you won’t have a case of your pot tipping over and pouring out all the content.
The lids are self-basting and have a tight fitting. That means that all the goodness brewing within the pan, including the soup and nutrients, remain captured within the pot for a healthier meal.
The Cuisinart multiclad set is also oven safe, and you can use it with temperatures reaching 550 degrees Fahrenheit. The pans are also safe for broiler use. Once you’re ready to serve, whether from the stove or the oven, you can expect a smooth transference to your dish of choice due to the drip-free pouring feature the cooking set has.
When it comes to cleaning, you don’t have to stress or fuss. Every component in the collection, including the covers, is dishwasher safe, so there is no flaking or melting off. Lastly, with this brand, you get a lifetime limited warranty in case of defects.
Although the brand is made in China, its affordable price tag make it an ideal alternative to the more expensive All-clad. Customers have rated the quality and solid construction of the Multiclad product line very high and has nothing to be jealous of the All-clad product.
All-Clad Cooking Set Brief Review
The other competing brand in this comparison article is, of course, All-Clad cooking sets. Let’s get into what you’re getting when you purchase the brand.

Features
All-Clad also has a 3-ply bonded construction that ensures that the heat is evenly distributed to avoid hotspots when preparing your meals. That means that there are alternating layers of aluminum and stainless-steel bonding together to the cookware’s surface.
It also has stainless steel that encapsulates the aluminum core so it heats quite fast and evenly. That way, your meals coming out with the same flavor each time because you’re assured consistency. Each item is compatible with all cooktops, including induction.
The surface of the pans and pots are stick resistant due to that PFOA-free starburst finishing. With that comes easy cleaning or also cooking because you don’t have to keep scrapping things at the bottom.
When you want to slow-cook a meal, you get assured that you can do that comfortably. With this brand, the cooking set can withstand 600 degrees Fahrenheit without the lids. They are also broiler safe should you choose that technique. The handles are made of contoured stainless-steel handles secured with stainless steel rivets.
All the units in the set are dishwasher safe, making the cleaning convenient no matter what you were cooking up in the kitchen. In generally the stainless cookware offers that warp-resistant strength we wish to have when purchasing a cooking set.
Being manufactured in the USA, the all-clad cooking set is much more expensive compared to Cuisinart which is made in China. However, many people don’t have the budget for an All-clad brand so they find Cuisinart a great alternative.
Final Verdict and Recommendation
Looking at the features described, it explains why a person would lean toward Cuisinart Multiclad when comparing this brand with All-Clad sets.
It is the added skillets and steamer that make it preferred, even though All-Clad have a stock pot. The construction is finally what makes it preferred for gourmet chefs at home or where needed.
Lastly, the price point of Cuisinart Multiclad (which is almost half of All-Clad) is another strong factor to select this model over All-clad. A lower price point does not mean inferior quality though. The Multiclad series has great feedback from customers as you can see below:

I have had a set of Cuisinart Multi Clad Pro for 30+ years. It is as beautiful now as when I bought it. I use felt liners when storing my pots and pans to prevent scratching. I do not put it in the dishwasher – I hand wash. It has served me well.
